Hi,

I've run into this problem as well. Of course, it's for a huge project with a very tight deadline.

I've come across a site telling me to modify code in Powershell (I have no idea how to do this).

I've tried reopening the completed .sdlxl file to a translate as a single document or as new project. That didn't work.

I tried re-saving the source file as an RTF and letting the TM repopulate the translation, but all the tags are messing things up. It will take me an eternity to go and clean everything up.

I'm at a total loss and I need to get this translation to the client.

I'm using Studio 2014.

I have the same problem. I have never got a viable solution
- project preparation takes 7/15 minutes depending on the file. Sometimes the process stops around 75 percent for ten minutes or so then proceeds slowly in 2 or 3 percent steps.
- During translation it gets stuck or even crashes. Concordance window searches for similar segments for 10 or 15 minutes... I translate manually because it's faster.
- Then there is term recognition and else. But that is another story

Turned out it was nothing to do with Studio 2017, it was my hard drive. I couldn't believe it when this was first diagnosed (by running various diagnostic tools), as the computer (HP) was only two years old (just old enough for the guarantee to expire). However, I bought a new hard drive, and now it works fine.

Hi everyone, 
I have an error message each time I try to change the segment and it says 'SelectedTab Cannot be Set Before the Pane Has Been Added to a Panes Collection'.
I repaired the installation segments at the Control Panel, and updates have been made. However, I'm still receiving the same error message and it's disturbing my work, as it's shown each time I try to change the segment or go back to the used one.

Kindly assist.

I am about to purchase Trados Studio 2017.
As I have never used Trados before, I was wondering if it is compatible with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2010 or if I should buy another version of Microsoft Office such as a Home Professional version.
My operating system is Windows 10.

I work with Studio 2017 and I often need this since I work on large projects that I can't split myself. So I can only send the job to my proofreader when I'm ready, which increases the turnaround time.

My workaround is to send review documents at several points of the project and then rebuild the final review document with the partial documents. But it gets messy very easily and you have to be very careful not to make the slightest mistake because then you will not be able to use the final review document. Imagine copying all changes manually in a job of 20.000 segments!!!

So, I think this is an improvement that should be given a bit of thought for the next release or for a review app. For example, on the "Export for Bilingual Review" tab, it would be quite easy imo to add an option "Export from segment xxx to segment xxx."

Again, I found my own solution. I uninstalled Multiterm 2014, and then uninstalled 2017, and then re-installed Multiterm 2017. Now, it works fine.

No support received from SDL.

However, for our translators who work on Macintosh, we use dataxsl.com solutions - simple DOC files which you can translate even under Linuks and all SDL Studio formatting will be kept.

Not in my case. Machine is new, i7, 16 DDR4 RAM (it's a gaming platform), 2 SSDs. All tms and TBs reside on the machine. Everything was fine till Studio 2017, just the usual bugs before. But 2017 has been a huge source of issues. If the PC can play games, can't understand why can't run Studio.

Most probably, this memory leak is due to javascript load in WebSearch plugin on Linguee website.
Possible solutions:
1. Don't use Linguee or Websearch
2. Sign up to Linguee to remove ads that cause the problem.
3. Disable active scripting in Internet Explorer (Internet Options, Security, Non-Standard level)

Bonjour/Bonsoir tout le monde !

Mon logiciel SDL Trados Studio 2014 SP2 a cessé de fonctionner. Quand je l'ouvre, la page d'accueil du logiciel s'affiche, elle bascule sur l'assistant de configuration, et quand je clique sur 'Suivant', je sus invitée à participer à un programme d'amélioration du logiciel. Que je clique sur "oui'' ou ''non'', le message d'erreur ''Le cast spécifié n'est pas valide'' s'affiche puis Studio se ferme !

Je précise que mon logiciel est activé depuis février 2016.

Une idée comme remédier à ce problème ?

Convert your Wordfast TM, which is in .txt format into .tmx, using Wordfast Converter [url removed]
Then open Studio, go to Translation Memories View, create a new empty TM and import the .tmx file into your new Studio memory. Voila.

Title says it all. Getting this annoying message everytime I'm creating a return package while I'm using Thunderbird.
Is there a setting in Trados (latest version) to cancel this pop up?

Всегда все работало идеально. Пару дней назад Традос просто перестал открываться.
Появляется табличка Sdl.TranslationStudio.Api.ProjectManagementService could not be started
Реинсталл не помог. Помогите плиз!!!
И если он не запуститься, где и в каких папках можно порыться, чтобы найти/восстановить свою ТМ?

Hi guys,

I'm working with a single file (lots of tables). After translating several segments, I wanted to perform an analysis and received this message:

"Unexpected exception when completing task 'Analyze Files': Invalid number of analysis bands."

Analysis impossible.

Then, I returned to the Editor window, and the XLIFF had disappeared. It's not in the project list anymore and also not in the folder I created (the project is still there though).

It would be just great if somebody had an idea how to solve this issue. I'm working with Trados Studio 2015.
