SDL Trados Studio 2011 SP2 "Object reference not set to an instance of an object"

I have exactely the same problem and I have tried pretty much everything I found on this and other forums:

- I tried to change the document name or/and to open other documents that previously worked
- I tried to cancel the xml files mentioned but I could not find them (even after changing my Windows settings in order to also find hidden or protected files)
- I tried to close and restart the PC
- I installed trados again

The problem is still there...
Other ideas?

This is making me crazy since it was working just fine till yesterday and I did not change anything!
