Studio tries to use the same/similar shortcuts to MS Word, so that users don't have to learn two different sets for similar functions.
Shift F4 searches down in a document in Word. (Although I don't know if you can search upwards in Word once you've left the Find box.)
That's why this Studio behaviour is quite intuitive if you're familiar with Word.
