Topic: Studio won't open package
Poster: Szabolcs Király
I ran into the following situation.
Studio 2011 is installed on an XP machine, the package/project folder is based on a network drive (Windows Server 2008 R2).
The user was granted with access to Folder1 on the network drive; the package was extracted there.
Having finished the project, the access right was revoked.
At a later time, the user was granted with access to Folder2 on the same network drive. Upon extracting the package, he received an error message stating that he has no rights on the folder and as a result the package couldn't be opened. The only option available was to click on Cancel. It took some time until I found out that it was Folder1 that Studio was expecting the rights to; e.g. the rights to the last used folder.
The workaround was to temporarily grant rights to Folder1.
Is this a normal behaviour? Let's say I don't have the option to get the rights on the last used folder: then I can't open packages with Studio anymore? Or then must I delete the profile/reinstall Studio?
Any ideas?
(I didn't take note on the exact error message. However, it was in Hungarian (Windows locale), so I don't know if the issue is due to the OS or to Studio.)
