Topic: how to unlock locked memories

somehow, inadvertantly, some of my TMs have become locked. They have become "Microsoft Access Record Locking Information" files (ldb), with a little padlock on them, and totally unaccessible. I definitely did not want to lock them. Consulting on internet how to unlock a locked Access file, they say delete the ldb file, which will then leave the original (unlocked) file accessible. But I find no other file with the same name. The original file appears to have become the locked file, it is no longer on the list of memory files. Even the locked file is not on the list of memory files, I have to search for it.
Any ideas on how to make it useable again???
