Termbases weren't working with java 7.45, I recall, so I downgraded to 7.25 and all is OK. Now 8.0 has come out. Is the issue fixed, or should I stay with 7.25?
I should add: I'm using Studio and Multiterm 2011.

As long as you stick to Studio 2011, you should not upgrade your version of Java because Java 7-25 is the latest version that works without any problems with Studio 2011. Later versions may work with some mangling, but I think it is not worth the hassle.
Once you upgrade to Studio 2014, you will be able to use any version of Java 7 (up to 7-51).
Java 8, which you also mentioned, will be supported starting with the upcoming release of Studio 2014.
