I guess the best option is to "accept" that trados does not have the filtering capabilities that memo has.
Anyway, taking into account the two prerequisites below, the best option is always to export the sdlxliff from trados into memo, do the task in memo, import back the sdlxliff from memo into trados (the filtering task).
2 prerequisites:
1. you can do the task prior to the rest of the translation.
2. you can identify the task.
It's like the question on pdf converters. Transformer is the best one. You would never use trados converter, just coz it has one.
So, BL: all trados-based workarounds would never beat the import-export operation. What do you think about this, Paul?
