Studio 2014, Multiterm can't enter a term into termbase

Hello

I just bought studio over the weekend after using the trial version for a while. I have Windows 8.0.

I have created a termbase in Multiterm, so far so good, but I can't enter a new term in either Multiterm or in Studio. The space is simply blank, sometimes showing the Multiterm logo. I see the two languages, but the main part of the window where something should be coming up is simply blank.

I have looked on various forums and saw that Java is often an issue and indeed, the first time I tried to enter a term Java came up and said it needed to be updated, so I updated it. That didn't help any. I have lowered the security setting since that seemed to solve the problem for other people, but that has also not helped.

Does anyone know how to fix this?
