Multiterm 2014 error while "Loading Termbase List"

Dear all,

I have just installed Multiterm 2014 (and Studio 2014).
However, I haven't managed to try it out, because I have the following problem with it:

When I click Open Termbase to open a local termbase, a dialog box appears saying "Loading Termbase List".
This dialog remains on the screen for quite a long time,
and then the following error message is displayed:

A connection to SDL Multiterm Server unknown could not be established
===

I use Windows 7 and previous versions of Trados (Multiterm/Studio 2009 and Trados 2007) are installed on my machine.

Does anybody know how to solve this problem?
