Post title: Different ways
You can open an sdlxliff for translation the same way you open a Word doc.
There are lots of different ways to do it:
- From the Home view, click "Translate Single Document"
I wrote some simple step-by-step instructions about how to do this here:
[url removed]
- From the Home view, create a project and add the sdlxliff file to it.
- Do the above but go through the File tab>Open instead of the Home view.
- Double click the sdlxliff file in Windows Explorer (or right click and select Open With SDL Trados Studio).
I imagine if you are familiar with Studio 2011 then none of the above may help.
Have you already got it in a project and you're trying to reopen the file from scratch? (Studio doesn't like that)
Are you trying to open it in a project with incompatible languages?
Is it not an sdlxliff file at all but some other flavour of xliff that isn't compatible?
... Running out of ideas now.
